Today in Black History: March 14, 1933 “The Birth of Quincy Jones”

On today in 1933, Quincy Jones was born in Chicago, Illinois. He is a record producer, music conductor, musical arranger, film, composer, television producer, instrumentalist, magazine founder, humanitarian, and jazz trumpeter. Jones career has spanned six decades and has earned him 27 Grammy Awards. He has worked with some of the greats, such as Frank Sinatra and Michael Jackson. Jones was the producer of Michael Jackson’s Off The Wall, Thriller, and Bad albums. He was also the executive producer of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air television serious, staring Will Smith and the founder of Vibe Magazine.
