aToday in Black History: January 17, 1964 “The Birth of Michelle Obama”

On today in 1964, Michelle Obama was born in Chicago, Illinois. She is a Lawyer, writer, and the wife of the 44th President of the United States, Barack Obama. Michelle Obama is the first African American first lady of the United States of America. She is an alumnus of Princeton University and Harvard Law School.  Prior to becoming first lady of the United States, Michelle Obama was an associate for Sidley Austin law firm, worked as an assistant to the Mayor, Executive Director for the Chicago office of Public Allies, was Associate Dean of Student Services at the University of Chicago, was executive director for community affairs at University of Chicago Hospital, and Vice President for Community and External Affairs at the University of Chicago Hospital.
