On August 9, 1963, the greatest vocalist ever known to mankind was born! Whitney Elizabeth Houston, also deemed, “The Voice” was born in Newark, New Jersey. Houston has won over 400 awards, worked in several classic films, sold over 200 million albums and singles, and the accolades continue! Over the course of her life Houston has collaborated with several artists, such as R. Kelly, Ronald Isley, CeCe Winans, Mariah Carey, Chaka Khan, Deborah Cox, Babyface, George Michael, Brandy, Bobby Brown, Aretha Franklin, Cissy Houston, and numerous others. Whitney Houston unfortunately passed away on Febraury 11, 2012. Houston may be gone physically, but her music and legacy will live forever!
